Welcome to NBHA KY05

The National Barrel Horse Association is the largest barrel racing organization in the world. The NBHA revolutionized barrel racing in 1992 by pioneering the divisional format, which enables barrel racers of all skill levels to win money and prizes at barrel racing competitions.

Divisional barrel racing, using the 5D format, is the heart of NBHA. Divisional barrel racing allows all competitors to compete, learn, and succeed in the barrel racing industry. Through this format, riders are encouraged to improve their skills, while still having the opportunity to be competitive.

NBHA members compete at District, State, National and World Championship levels. Each state is divided into competition Districts, where members compete at a local level. NBHA KY 05 is one of the largest and most competitive Districts in Kentucky.

NBHA KY 05 is home to more than 45 counties and 100 members. We are currently still growing and becoming more competitive. NBHA KY 05 has been well represented beyond the local level, with members of all divisions placing at the State, National, and World Championship shows.
